Work Experience

Feb. 2013–Aug. 2020

Associate professor, Academic Leader of Fine Arts in Architecture & Urban Rural Planning Department, Guangdong, China.

As a Director of Art Education, My work was comprised of curriculum development and delivery.   I developed the curriculum for both mandatory and elective courses such as Instruction in Drawing, Painting, 2D Design, Wood-cut Print, and Material Expression. Throughout my course instruction students were instructed in various techniques for sketch drawing, color painting, and printmaking. as well as an optional course: woodcut print, specific in Exlibris and small-size relief.

Mar. 2011–Jan. 2013 

Senior Lecturer, Academic Director of Fine Arts in Architecture & Urban Rural Planning Department, Zhuhai College of Jilin University, Guangdong, China. Each semester I teach drawing and painting of still life and landscape for freshman and sophomore. Each summer vacation, I lead my students to visit galleries or old towns or modern cities for architecture drawing and surveys. In addition, I designed the courses suitable for architecture students. During this time, I also instigated two curricula: visual design and material expression.

Sep. 2002– Feb. 2011 

Lecturer, Shijiazhuang Fine Arts Vocational Hight School, Hebei, China. I primarily taught drawing and painting of geometry, still life and figure. Each summer vacation, I lead my students to do outdoor landscape painting for color surveys. During this time, I was rated as excellent teacher in 2004 and 2008, and I obtained my master’s degree from Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts.

Cooperation Education Program                                      

I initiated the “China-US Design and Cultural Exchange Studio program”, working with professor Tao Sun (from Zhuhai College of Science and Technology) professor James and Matt from Grand View University, Des Moines, Iowa, USA. As the Chinese leader and lecturer of the program, I taught and guided Chinese and American students of Chinese traditional woodcut. An exhibition as a final report in Zhuhai, China.

May. 2015–June. 2015

January 2016-Feb 2016

at the invitation of Grand View University, USA, I went to American, we hold the “China-US Design and Cultural Exchange Studio program”. As the Chinese leader and lecturer of the program, I taught the Chinese wood cut history and relief. we held an exhibition of teaching achievements in Des Moines, USA.

• The Landscape, watercolor, was selected for the Sixth Fine Arts Exhibition of Hebei province and won the first prize of the

   Youth Group, Hebei, China, 2012.

• The aquatint, etching, Life-Pregnancy won the first prize of Youth Group of the 6th Hebei Province Art Exhibition, China,

   2012.

 

• The silkscreen, Autumn Rains-Impressionism won the Excellence Award the 5th Hebei province Art Exhibition, China, July

   2010.

• The aquatint, etching, Life-Pregnancy was selected for the 11th Tianjin Art Exhibition, China, May 2009.

• The silkscreen, Summer-Impressionism was selected for the 6th Tianjin Youth Art Exhibition, China, Sept 2006.

• Oil painting, the harvest won the Excellence Award of the 3rd Hebei Provincial Sketching Exhibition for Rejuvenating the

   Country through Science and Education, December 1999.

 

• Exlibris was selected for the Ninth Exlibris Exhibition,  Beijing, China, October 2001.

• Flower Season, Silkscreen, won the third prize in the second Hebei Art Exhibition, China, October 2003.
